Obviously not my real name, this is the irc nick I go by on freenode -- sans uppercase. Mediawiki doesn't believe in lowercase names, apparently.

Real name: Chuck Adams, 30-ish, located in San Francisco, CA, USA, Earth (though I would say each geographic location belongs to the next only begrudgingly).

For work, I mainly hack perl, python, and shell, with a smattering of C++. For fun, I like learning semi-oddball languages as long as they don't make me acquire a PhD to learn how to write real programs in them. I used to do a lot of hacking on LambdaMOO servers, so I have a soft spot for prototype dispatch, even though I was never a big fan of MOO's clumsy implementation (it sufficed for a talk MUD I guess).

I have thoughts of writing a Diku-style combat MUD in a really dynamic language. I don't know why, I don't actually play in combat muds. Just thought it would be fun to do I suppose.
